Introducing Ombré Powder Brows:
What’s the procedure like?
The appointment takes up to two hours including the consultation, brow-mapping and application of cosmetic tattooing. The treatment is fully sterile using disposable materials and medical antiseptic. It is a pain-free experience, many of my clients even drift to sleep :)
What is the downtime and homecare?
The immediate result will look a bit darker than the healed result. Minor redness may be present after the procedure.
At home: just be patient with your brows during healing. They may change in the intensity of colour during the first 4 weeks, may feel a bit itchy and slightly flake. Let your brows heal naturally (dry-healing) until your next appointment. The main rules for the best healed results are: do not get your brows wet for 5 days, avoid skincare products or makeup on the brows. Avoid picking or pulling any flaking bits of skin - it may result in patchy appearance when completely healed. Remember: the final healed result is seen after week four and it is unsafe to have the retouch earlier (it will interrupt the skin’s natural healing process).
Why do I need the second appointment?
Your second appointment 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment will enhance the colour and perfect the shape of your brows. It is important because up tp 50% of pigment may fade after the first appointment because the skin’s local immunity will reject the pigment. It will not happen with the second application because your skin would be familiar with the pigment formula.
Will it last forever?
Ombre Powder Brows is a gentle, superficial cosmetic tattooing method. This allows pigment to be placed into the upper layers of skin and prevent unwanted colour alteration (turning blue, green or pink). As a result - the shade gradually fades with time.
Is this microblading?
NO, this is Not microblading. The pigment is deposited into the skin in micro-dots pattern to create a natural soft ombre look without cutting the skin. Microblading is a traumatic technique. Cutting the skin with a microblade turns skin into scar-tissue overtime and often makes it hard or impossible to work with it in future. Microblade cuts may damage hair follicles and result in permanent brow hair loss.
Do I have to regularly retouch my brows?
Retouch sessions every 12-18 months are recommended to keep the perfect brow look. Otherwise over a long period of time - the Ombre powder brows will fade and become barely noticeable.
Can I have Ombre Powder brows done if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommended you book your appointment no earlier than 4 months after childbirth.
